Blocks of Time and Numero Uno
It's all happening at once. The flea market, the audition for about.com, and the deadlines for my August articles. I only get really stressed out about it when I think in blocks of time, so I'm ok when I remember than I can do something for an hour and then switch to something else. Take today, for instance. I have a half day. I've already made plans to meet a friend for lunch, and then afterward my first thought was "embroider onesies," and that would take up the rest of the day. After my heart rate slowed a bit, I realized I could embroider a onesie, read the about.com material, walk the dogs, and maybe even take a nap somewhere in there. I don't know where this Henry Ford assembly line mentality came from.

Which reminds me, I've been tagged for eight facts from Tec. I've been hard-pressed to think of eight things I haven't mentioned here before, so if I repeat myself just blame it on early onset Alzheimer's (I do also keep cabinet doors open).

We're #1, we're #1: I've recently decided that chocolate is overrated. This is a new development for me. I used to always want whatever was chocolatiest--the ice cream parlor near my sister's apartment where I stayed in the summers during college had a flavor called "digging for gold." It included every kind of candy bar and chocolate iteration you could imagine. It was my favorite. Now I'd probably just go for vanilla with some sprinkles or fruit, unless it's chocolate flake fromage at Murray's.
